We are a private organisation, providing supported living service in partnership with statutory and voluntary sector organizations, to unaccompanied asylum seeking children and child Refugees of 16 years of age or over.

We care for asylum seeking / Refugee minors living in private residential situations supported 24 hours a day seven days a week by a mixture of key workers and out reach support workers.

Working in relationship with social services we care for young people, male & female, in a mixture of circumstances, from unaccompanied minors who have just arrived in the U.K. claiming asylum, unaccompanied refugee minors, Unaccompanied Minors who are Expectant Mothers, unaccompanied minors with new born children who need extra support & unaccompanied minors coming out of foster care who need initial support in semi independent living.

Choice Housing have strong relationships with Legal Representatives and will be working towards establishing strong working relationships with Save the Children, B.U.M.P.. ( Befriending Unaccompanied Minors Project ), British Red Cross, specialised asylum health services and specialised education providers.

For the safety and welfare of all minors in our care, staff will have supplied satisfactory references that have been checked and verified, and will have had a satisfactory police check.

Our main aim in line with the “Every Child Matters” ethos, will be to promote a set of simple values that in addition to the basic necessities of life, everyone has the right whatever their circumstances to be healthy, to stay safe, to enjoy life and be able to achieve their own aims, to make their own positive contribution and to achieve economic well being. This aim is combined with a real commitment to offer the highest degree of flexibility and commitment to both service purchasers and service users that a service is able to offer.
