Choice has become a corporate member of Women in Business (WiB) Northern Ireland), meaning female colleagues can access a range of professional development resources.

As one of the largest independent housing associations in Northern Ireland, Choice currently employs more than two hundred and fifty female staff members in various roles, including Housing Management, Development, Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Human Resources, and support roles within local sheltered living schemes.

The WiB corporate membership will enable staff to connect with women from across the province, through a programme of engaging online and in-person events during the year. These opportunities are going to allow employees to establish – and build – meaningful professional relationships, access peer support, collaborate on ideas, and continue to develop their careers within a community that is both supportive and inclusive.

Insights and knowledge gained through the network will provide valuable benefits for the organisation, says Ruth Cunningham – Head of Human Resources at Choice. Welcoming the partnership.

She added: “Joining WiB is a fantastic opportunity for Choice’s female employees to access meaningful resources and support that can help them grow – both professionally and personally.

“We are proud to launch our corporate membership with WiB, Northern Ireland’s largest network for women in business. This partnership reflects our commitment to learning and development and to creating opportunities that enable our colleagues to achieve their personal goals whilst supporting Choice’s wider business objectives.”

Collette Kelly, Head of Membership at Women in Business NI, said: “We are delighted to welcome Choice as a corporate member of WiB. Their commitment to supporting, and developing, female talent aligns strongly with our mission, and we look forward to working closely together to create valuable opportunities for their employees.”

The latest partnership reflects Choice’s ongoing commitment to equality, inclusion and the professional development of its workforce, marking another important step in strengthening opportunities for women across the organisation and the wider business community in Northern Ireland.
