Risk & Assurance Manager

This is a new senior post offering an exceptional career progression opportunity for an experienced and ambitious risk and assurance professional. Choice is implementing an enhanced risk management framework to support its growth strategy and this role provides the opportunity to:

 

  • Assist the Group Director of Finance & Resources in the implementation of the Risk Management Policy and liaise with SMT in the maintenance of risk registers and the reporting of same to the Audit and Risk Committee.

  • Develop and maintain the Group’s risk management framework and associated policies, procedures and risk assessments, embedding risk management into all activities.

  • Take the lead in implementing improvements in the risk management framework.

  • Develop and oversee the Group’s assurance framework and audit arrangements, including oversight of internal audit plans, reporting and reporting on the implementation of agreed actions.

  • Develop and deliver effective training for board directors and employees throughout the Group.

 

Essential Criteria:-

 

  • Qualified accountant or equivalent relevant professional qualification

  • At least 5 year’s experience in a similar role

  • Experience of risk and assurance management in a diverse/group organisation

  • Sound understanding of corporate governance within a regulated industry

  • Ability to understand complex insurance services and products
